With racing season right around the corner, it's time to get our Committee boat shipshape — and we'd love your help doing it!

We're organizing a working meetup on Friday, May 1st starting at 10:00 AM to commission the Committee boat ahead of the season. Three of your fellow members have already signed on, and we're looking for a few more willing hands to make light work of what promises to be a rewarding couple hours of work with knowledgeable people and a learning opportunity.

What we'll be tackling:

• Clean the boat and remove any accumulated water
• Install the prop and touch up bottom paint
• Polish and compound the hull (time permitting)
• Test race marks
• Check and test cockpit equipment — sensors, radio, start box, and more
• Transfer cuddy equipment from stores to the boat
• Launch and place in slip

This is a fantastic opportunity to build sweat equity in your club, get to know your fellow members in a relaxed setting, and give back through a little hands-on philanthropy. Many hands make short work — and there's something genuinely satisfying about knowing you helped put the race committee platform in the water for the season ahead.
