Sail 4 Leukemia hosted by Lake City Yacht Club (LCYC) was a vision that became reality 29 years ago.  The event began as a way for the sailors from LCYC on Lake Pepin to share their love of sailing with Lake City and surrounding communities while donating to a worthwhile cause – blood cancer research and finding a cure.  From this idea the Sail 4 Leukemia event was born.  100% of our proceeds go to Blood Cancer United – Upper Plains (formerly Leukemia & Lymphoma Society – LLS).  There is no event like this raising money for LLS.  Boat owners donate their boat and time to take guests out sailing on beautiful Lake Pepin for 1 ½ hours.  Come celebrate our 28th annual event of sharing our love of sailing while finding a cure!

Funds raised through our event, and other fundraising efforts are celebrated at the Light The Night event!  These donations allow Blood Cancer United to fund treatments for patients who are suffering from all forms of blood cancers. Blood Cancer United/LLS has helped fund over 70% of FDA-approved blood cancer treatments since 2016.
